What is my assigned meal plan?
Your meal plan will be automatically added along with your housing assignment based on your classification.

Can I change my meal plan?
All meal plan change requests must be submitted to Office of Residence Life, CAU Suites 100 Building or via email to residencelife@cau.edu before August 3rd for the Fall term 2024 and January 3rd, 2025 for the Fall term 2025.
There are no meal plan cancellations, credits or refunds issued after a semester and/or year has ended based on non-usage.
If there is a classification change in the Spring term, meal plan changes will be considered upon request by the student; otherwise, the Fall plan will roll to the Spring term. The request must be submitted to Residence Life.
How do I know which plan to choose?
The meal plan will be charged to your banner account based on the criteria listed below:
- Residential Students:
- Freshmen or First-Year Students are required to have the Panther Platinum Meal Plan. The Panther Platinum Meal Plan will automatically be charged to your Banner account. The meal plan cannot be changed or cancelled. This meal plan is for the cardholder only and cannot be used for any other persons. No exceptions.
- Sophomore Students are required to have the Panther Gold Meal Plan. The Panther Gold Meal Plan will automatically be charged to your Banner account. You are eligible to upgrade to the Panther Platinum only. The meal plan cannot be cancelled. This meal plan is for the cardholder only and cannot be used for any other persons. No exceptions.
- Junior, Senior and Graduate Students* are required to have the Panther Silver Meal Plan. The Panther Silver Meal Plan will be automatically charged to your Banner account. You are eligible to upgrade to the Panther Gold, or the Panther Platinum only. The meal plan cannot be cancelled. The cardholder can eat 60 meals throughout the semester. The cardholder can also bring a guest or guests.
- *Does not apply to graduate students residing in Beckwith Village, Centennial Lofts, 200 Edgewood.
- Non-Residential Students:
- Junior and Senior Students are required to have the Panther Bronze Meal Plan. The Panther Bronze Meal Plan will be automatically charged to your Banner account. You are eligible to upgrade to the Panther Silver, Panther Gold or the Panther Platinum only. No exceptions. The cardholder can eat 30 meals throughout the semester. The cardholder can also bring a guest or guests.
- Graduate students are not required to have a meal plan. However, optional meal plans are available for purchase.
- International Students:
- Students matriculating on a nonimmigrant visa (e.g., "F visa") are exempt from the mandated meal plan as prescribed for all enrolled undergraduate students at Clark Atlanta University. Please note that the nonimmigrant undergraduate students have the ability to opt into a meal plan semester by semester if this student population would like a university meal plan.
Can I cancel my meal plan?
Meal Plans cannot be waived for Residential and Non-Residential Students. Only Graduate and International students are not required to have a meal plan and have the option to purchase and opt into a meal plan.
Special Dietary Needs

Lost or Stolen Meal Cards
Lost or stolen meal cards can be purchased in the Panther PAW Card office located on the 3rd floor of the Bishop Cornelius Henderson Student Center.
Dining Policies
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:
- Please bus your dishes and disposables from your table when you have finished dining.
- Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
- Remember that meal cards are non-transferable. The meal plans are for the Cardholder only and cannot be used for any other persons
- The Crogman Campus Eatery is an all-you-care-to-eat dine-in only location.
- You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus Dining Program. Our generous policy allows for a second helping of many menu favorites. All you have to do is ask! Please note, however, that there are some exceptions to our Seconds Policy including: You must complete your meal from one station before you can revisit that station again.
